Parkview

We are again going to partner with Parkview Nursing Home this year and will be traveling there at least one time per month.  Pairs of students are partnered up with a resident and spend time together singing songs, playing games, visiting, etc.  Last year was the first time we had done this and the students absolutely LOVED it.  It is so good for both the residents and our students--very heartwarming to watch the interactions.  Today, we had a visit from Jenny Tobin, Parkview.  She outlined the expectations for our students, let them know some things they might see and hear, and gave them some tips on how to interact with the residents.  Our first trip to Parkview will be Tuesday, September 20th.  We always walk unless there is inclement weather, in which case, we will take a bus.
